Kiss Me Organics Ceremonial Green Tea Matcha Review
I was introduced to Matcha tea about four months ago when I
tried my first cup of Black Matcha Tea.
I am a huge tea connoisseur and I got tired of drinking Earl Grey and
English Breakfast day in and day out. My
girlfriend introduced me to Matcha tea and I have fallen in love with both the
Black Matcha and the original Green Tea Matcha.
Kiss Me Organics makes a ceremonial grade green tea matcha that is smooth and
sweet at the same time. If you are unfamiliar with Matcha Tea, here is some
background on its origin.
Matcha, refers to finely milled or fine powder green tea. The Japanese tea
ceremony centers on the preparation, serving, and drinking of matcha.
In modern times, matcha has also come to be used to flavor and dye foods such
as mochi and soba noodles, green tea ice cream
and a variety of wagashi
(Japanese confectionery). Matcha is a fine-ground, powdered, high-quality green
tea.
So now that you have a brief
understanding of Matcha Tea, lets talk about Kiss Me Organics Green Matcha Tea.
When my order arrived, I was a
little shocked to see how small the tin was.
I then quickly understood that you only need ½ teaspoon Matcha to 3 oz
water per serving instead of the normal 1 teaspoon that I was used to. This tea is very finely milled into a
consistency like baby powder. It comes
in a sealed tin, and inside the sealed tin, is a small sealed bag containing
the powder. Once I opened the bag, I
noticed the beautiful bright green powder.
The vibrant color is a clear indication of it’s high quality.
One of my favorite ways to
prepare my Green Tea Matcha is to make a Matcha Latte. I use my Keurig Rivo Latte maker to prepare
the hot water and steamed milk. I add ½ teaspoon
of Matcha and 3 oz of hot water. I then
steam my milk using the Keurig machine.
The tea is naturally a little sweet, but I do like to add a little
stevia for more sweetness.
If you are tired of drinking the
same black tea and are wanting to try a high quality Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea, Kiss Me
Organics has your solution.
