Age Defy Skin Clearing Serum

I just turned 41 and  still struggle with acne!  I don't have a ton of acne but when an episode occurs it always leaves a dark spot or scar.  I could try to diminish the scars or dark spots but why not start with the source....which is the the blemish.  This serum is packed with Vitamin C, Niacinamide, 2% Salicylic Acid and 2.5% Retinol.  Most products only contain 2% retinol and this one contains 2.5%!!!  This is the highest percentage available for over the counter Retinol.  Also, it is best to start out with a product containing a % of retinol and not just straight retinol as it will irritated your skin.

So back to the performance of this product.  I am happy to report that after one week of use my skin is clear of all blemishes, looks brighter, and is extremely hydrated.  Another positive about this product is it contains all the ingredients mentioned above which saves time and $$.  I was purchasing and using a separate Vitamin C serum and a separate Niacinaminde moisturizer.  It would take me several minutes to apply all the products and wait for them to dry.  Now I just use this product which has cut my facial care routine in half and my pocket book.

This is a great Vitamin C moisturizer for the face but also the body. In the winter time I like to use this cream to add extra moisturizer to my face and neck.  It does contain the highest amount of over the counter Vitamin C (20%).  Another way I have been using this cream is on my legs.  I like to take 2 pumps of this and mix it with raw Shea Butter.  I rub it in my hands until the Shea Butter emulsifies and rub it on my legs.  I have very dry skin on my legs as well as scaring.  This cream has helped diminish the dark scars and helps to lock in the Shea Butter.  Lastly, I take the same combination and apply it to my elbows.  I have very ashy elbows and wearing short sleeve shirts has made me a little insecure.  This has again greatly helped the ashy skin and keep my elbows from looking scaly.

I mentioned before, using a toner is one product I tend to skip or forget to use.  I always had this misconception that toners were for people who have severe acne.  As I have learned, this is not true and everyone can benefit from a great toner.  They can be used as a great base before applying serums and moisturizers as well as used throughout the day to freshen your skin and provide hydration.

The directions say to first shake the bottle.  Then you spray your face, neck and décolleté area after you have cleansed your face.  I love the feeling of the cool mist on my face.  Most of the time my face is tight and dry after cleansing and using the toner adds back hydration and moisture.  I notice a slight tingling sensation as well, not sure what ingredient causes that, but it is soothing.  It dries quickly and does not leave my skin oily or leave behind any residue.  If you want to target certain areas of your face, you can use a cotton pad to apply the toner.

My final thoughts on these products are 5 stars.  InstaNatural continues to provide a natural option for skincare and stands behind every product they offer.  All InstaNatural products come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.  If you would like to read more reviews or purchase any of these products (the Skin Clearing Serum is my favorite) you can click the links below.
