I am the cook in our home and I have NEVER owned a thermometer!  I have been cooking since I was ten years old taking after my mother in the kitchen.  She never owned a thermometer either....like mother, like daughter!  So I was happy to try out the MeasuPro Instant Read Waterproof IPX7 Thermometer for help in my kitchen.

The MeasuPro thermometer comes with a 2032 battery, so you are all set to go once it arrives.  It can be used in freezing or boiling temperatures with a range from -58 degrees Fahrenheit to 572 degrees Fahrenheit.  You can switch between Celsius or Fahrenheit by simply pushing the bottom button on the back. 

I have a hard time with small devices like TV remotes and thought I would struggle with getting this thing up and running.  I was surprised to find it very easy to figure out and use.  To use, all you do is push the power button and insert the stainless steel probe into the thickest part of your food.  It responds instantly so you do not need to have the oven door open too long and loose heat.  It also has a Max/Min feature that shows the last lowest and highest temperatures that you took.

I can't believe I waited so long to have this VITAL kitchen tool in my home.  So often I have thought something was done only to cut it open and realize it was not.  My daughter really loves this as well.  She is just learning to cook and feels more confident in the kitchen using this tool.  This would also be a great gift to give to someone who is getting married as well.  If you would like to learn more about the MeasuPro Instant Read Thermometer, you can click on the link below.
