Professional Flat Iron Hair Straightener By Xtava Review

I love all things beauty related and hair tools are no exception!  This flat iron is manufactured  by a company called Xtava. They offer curling irons, hair dryers and flat irons.  It arrived in a sleek box with a beautiful pattern.  Once I opened it, I was excited to see that the flat iron has the same beautiful pattern.  This particular pattern is called Fiore, a black and grey damask design.  It comes with a travel bag that is insulated as well as instructions.  It retails on Amazon for 89.00 and is currently on sale for 35.00.  

I decided to skip the instructions and jump right into flat ironing my hair.  When I pugged it in, I slid it into the on position and it beeped letting me know it was on.  I noticed the temperature range is 200-400.  My current flat iron (FHI Heat) goes up to 450, so I was a bit concerned weather it would not be hot enough.  I sectioned my hair and began to run the iron through.  The plates glide easily from root to tip and the iron itself opens and closes with ease.  I have used other irons in the past where the plates don't glide very easy and my hair gets stuck.  It can actually be painful and at times and my hair gets pulled out....not fun!  This iron is different...it is a professional iron, meaning, it is like brushing my hair with flat iron.  The hair glides through the plates, the iron opens and closes with ease and it is hot enough to get my desired look with one pass.  Here is my before and after pictures:

Beautiful right?  I was able to flat iron my hair in 10 minutes.  I forgot to mention the best part about this iron...wait for it....wait for it....it has an automatic shut switch!  After 30 minutes of inactivity, the iron will shut itself off.  I can't begin to tell you how many times I leave my iron on or I think I have left it on and drive home to make sure I didn't burn the house down!

Pros & Cons:

Pros-

Cons-

* 400 degrees does the job with one pass, however, I wish it heated up to 450 degrees (personal preference).

Final Thoughts:

This is hands down a professional flat iron and I am extremely impressed.  It has a beautiful design, but most importantly, it does what a flat iron should do.  Single pass performance, automatic shut off switch and my hair floats through the plates.  This is the second Xtava hair tool I own and I am impressed with the quality of both items.  You can read more about the Xtava Fiore Professional Ceramic Tourmaline Ionic Flat Iron on Amazon.
